Synopsis
Angelo Donnini (Giovanni Ribisi), and his brother Gino (Adam Garcia) are of Italian origin, but live in Australia in the 1950s. Young, handsome and funny, Gino is engaged to Connie (Silvia De Santis), a wise, tough girl. Less attractive and confident, the older Angelo looks for a wife by writing letters to Italy, but they are always returned with his photograph. Despairing of ever finding love, Angelo uses a picture of Gino to draw the beautiful Rosetta (Amelia Warner) across the sea. When she arrives she is shocked by the real Angelo, but with Gino it's love at first sight, and she stays to try to marry him after all. A romantic comedy universal to any culture, anytime, anywhere, Love’s Brother is a magical, sweetly nostalgic journey about roots, family, sacrifice and the power of love.
